Bhupathi-Knowles enter Monte Carlo quarters

Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles of Bahamas advanced into the doubles quarterfinals of the Monte Carlo Masters Tennis tournament in Monaco.

Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles of Bahamas advanced into the doubles quarterfinals while Leander Paes and Australian Paul Hanley exited from the Monte Carlo Masters Tennis tournament in Monaco.

The fourth seed combination of Bhupathi and Knowles defeated the Brazilian pair Marcelo Melo and Andre 6-4, 6-3 in the second round on Wednesday night.

They will face fifth seeds Simon Aspelin of Sweden and Julian Knowle of Austria in the next round.

Meanwhile, Peas and Hanley gave another inconsistent show as they squandered a set to go down 4-6, 6-3, 3-10 against second seed Israeli pair of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram in another second round match.
