Bhupathi-Knowles advance to semis at Dubai

Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles have advanced to the doubles semifinals of the USD 1,410,000 Barclay Dubai Tennis.

Mahesh Bhupathi kept the Indian interest alive at the USD 1,410,000 Barclay Dubai Tennis by advancing to the doubles semifinals along with his Bahamas partner Mark Knowles.

The fourth-seed Indo-Bahamas pair registered a comprehensive quarterfinal victory over Spaniard duo of Rafael Nadal and Feliciano Lopez 6-1 6-1, on Thursday.

They next take on second seed Simon Aspelin of Sweden and Julian Knowle of Austria, who had ousted Leander Paes-Paul Hanley combine in the first round.

Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Haq had also crashed out of the event after losing their quarterfinal tie against top-seeded pair of Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonzic, on Thursday.
