New York: Justine Henin defeated Alicia Molik 6-2, 6-1 on Sunday to give Belgium an unassailable three-one lead in the Fed Cup first round against Australia. This was despite Belgium's top player, Kim Clijsters, withdrawing due to injury. Earlier in the day, Australia's Nicole Pratt beat Clijsters replacement Els Callens to keep Australian hopes alive. However, Henin's victory meant her country could not be caught in the best-of-five tie and Belgium now go though to face Italy in the quarterfinals.
