Magny-Cours:
Motorsports star Narain Karthikeyan put in a praiseworthy performance in tough driving conditions to finish fourth at Magny-Cours in the World Series Nissan Championship on Sunday. The starting grid saw Besson on pole, with Narain behind Bernoldi and alongside Sarrazin. Bernoldi did not have a good start and Narain tucked in behind Besson for second spot. However, Narain's car was hit from behind which resulted in damaged suspension and a lot of understeer. A fast drying track compounded his problems and Narain could not challenge the other drivers for places. He was overtaken at the Imola chicane, first by Frank Montagny and Sarrazin. Narain kept running wide with the understeer and had to be content with fourth spot. After three races, Narain is now third in the overall standings. (PTI)Topics mentioned in this article
