Andhra Pradesh raise objections to IPL dates

The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday raised objections to the revised IPL schedule for their state as they are clashing with the polls.

The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday raised objections to the revised IPL schedule for their state as they are clashing with the polls.

Elections will be held in Andhra in two phases on 16th and 23rd April. Due to this, they have asked all matches to be moved after March 23 so that adequate security can be provided.

Most of the other states, including Maharashtra, Rajasthan & Delhi seem to have given the new schedule an all clear. Whereas, West Bengal has asked for one of the matches to be shifted or extra security to make up for it.

But there are reports now that all states have asked for central paramilitary forces if they are to host IPL matches.
