Vriesman seeks sweeping changes in Indian hockey

The President of the International Hockey Federation, Els Van Breda Vriesman, has promised to turn the fortunes of Indian hockey within the next six years.

The President of the International Hockey Federation, Els Van Breda Vriesman, has promised to turn the fortunes of Indian hockey within the next six years. Speaking exclusively to NDTV during her visit to the capital, Vriesman said that a joint, concerted effort by the International Olympic Committee, the Indian Olympic Association and the FIH will help the country produce a squad that can win the World Cup and an Olympic gold. The President of the IOC Jacques Rogge will reveal the details of this plan during next month's hockey World Cup in Monchengladbach, Germany.
