Railways, Haryana, Punjab enter semi-finals

Defending champions Railways, Haryana and Punjab enter the semi-finals of the 51st National Women's Hockey championship.

Defending champions Railways, Haryana and Punjab today entered the semi-finals of the 51st National Women's Hockey championship, with convincing wins over their respective opponents in their league matches here. Railways thrashed Karnataka 9-0 in Pool 'A' while Haryana drubbed Air India 8-0 in Pool 'D'. Punjab defeated Delhi 6-0 in Pool 'B' to book their berth in the semi-finals. In other league matches, Orissa edged out Tamil Nadu 1-0 in Pool 'C' while Chandigarh and Jharkhand played a goalless draw in Pool 'A'. (PTI)
