Playing down the latest controversy, India's hockey captain Dhanraj Pillay has said that he agrees with the decision to rest him and six other players. The decision comes just days after Pillay had a public spat with coach Rajinder Singh over a ban on speaking to the media. But the veteran admits that the rest will do them good. The Indian Hockey Federation has defended its decision saying by arguing saying that a long season is coming up and some new players need to be blooded. However one decision remains unchanged a€" Gill backs the policy of his coach on keeping the media away from the players. The decision may seem autocratic but Rajinder Singh has helped India win three titles this year, so if he says the media is out, then that's what will happen. Also Read
