India have been beaten by arch-rivals Pakistan 2-1 in a crucial league match of the 26th Men's Champions Trophy in Lahore. It's the 11th time that Pakistan have beaten India in 2004. Pakistan opened the scoring just before half time through Saqlain Mohommad after the hosts had missed a penalty in the first half. Although India managed to equalise in the second half from a Sandeep Singh penalty corner, Sohail Abbas scored the winner with three minutes left although this time it came from a penalty stroke. India's last league encounter is on Saturday against bottom placed New Zealand while Pakistan will play Spain in what will be a virtual semi-final for both sides.
