Lahore:

Australia's pull out from the upcoming Champions Trophy in Lahore has been criticised by the Pakistan Hockey Federation.

They feel the Australians are over reacting and that there is no real threat to the players security.

This is not the first time the Australians have pulled out of a major Hockey event in Pakistan. They chose to stay away from the 2004 Champions trophy as well citing local political unrest as their reasons for pulling out.

This time though the Pakistanis feel the Australians have made a very hasty decision, there are stil five months left for the event and they feel by then the situation should be back to normal.

Pakistan's problems could get worse though with Spain threatening to follow Australia's example.
