New Zealand beat India 2-1 in the first Test of a four-match women's field hockey series at Dunedin.

New Zealand beat India 2-1 in the first Test of a four-match women's field hockey series at Dunedin today. Kayla Sharland and Lisa Walton scored for New Zealand, who led 1-0 at halftime. Annarita Kerketta scored India's only goal. The series, which continues with matches at Oamaru tomorrow and Christchurch on Sunday and Monday, is part of New Zealand's preparation for the Athens Olympics. (AP)
