India suffer humiliating 1-4 loss

A lacklustre India went down 4-1 to Australia in the Champions Trophy hockey tournament today.

India was punished for its listless performance as it went down 4-1 to Australia in the Champions Trophy hockey tournament today. The loss gave a serious jolt to India's title aspirations as they have so far managed only one win from their three matches in the tournament so far. Grant Schubert was the star of the Australian win today scoring a hat-trick (33rd minute, 44 and 60) while Troy Elder scored the fourth goal (46th). Dilip Tirkey scored the lone goal for India, converting a penalty corner in the 49th minute. (PTI)
