India finish fourth after losing to Pakistan

Pakistan beat India 4-2 to finish third in the men's hockey Olympics qualifying tournament in Madrid.

Pakistan beat India 4-2 to finish third in the men's hockey Olympics qualifying tournament here today. Pakistan went ahead in the 15th minute through a goal by Muhammad Shabbir. Prabhjot Singh drew parity in the 22nd minute. Resuming after 1-1 at half time, Pakistan surged ahead through goals by Sohail Abbas (43rd minute) and Shakeel Abbasi (55th minute). Gagan Ajit Singh pulled one back in the 59th minute. But a strike by Kashif Jawad in the 69th minute sealed a 4-2 victory for Pakistan.
