India blanked China 4-0 in their last league match today to strengthen their claim as one of the finalists in the four-nation Prince Takamodonomiya Cup at Gifu, Japan. India scored twice in each half through Arjun Halappa (11th minute), Inderjit Singh Chadha (26th minute), Girish Pimpale (52nd minute) and Adam Sinclair (63rd minute). Recording their second win after beating hosts Japan in the opener, India set up a possible title clash against Asian Games champions South Korea on Tuesday. With this win India have six points from three games, while South Korea enjoy an unbeaten record of six points from two matches. Hosts Japan have three points from two games and only if they upset the Koreans by a huge margin, could they be in the final. India also enjoy a healthy goal difference of plus four, should there be a three-way tie. (PTI)
