Amsterdam:

With the Germans in prime condition and seeking to avenge last year's disappointing fifth place at the Olympics in Sydney, Grand Slam title holder Netherlands will keep its ranks closed in the 23rd men's Champions Trophy hockey tournament, which gets underway in Rotterdam today. The Champions Trophy will feature the world's top six teams based on the ranking at the Sydney Olympics: Australia, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Pakistan and South Korea. It will be the second year running that the competition is held in the Netherlands after the Dutch won at home last year in Amsterdam. (PTI)
