Haryana and Punjab inflict crushing defeats on their respective opponents in the league matches of the National Women's hockey championship.

Haryana and Punjab inflicted crushing defeats on their respective opponents in the league matches of the National Women's hockey championship here today. Haryana defeated Madhya Pradesh 17-0 after leading 14-0 at the half time with Balwinder finding the target six times in a Pool D match. In the same pool, Punjab's centre forward Mohan Devinder Kaur scored five goals including a hat-trick as the hosts whitewashed Manipur 10-0. Earlier, Mumbai scored a fluent 6-0 victory over Tamil Nadu in a Pool C game. (PTI)
