Australia and Argentina clinched their places in the semifinals of the women's field hockey World Cup.

Australia and Argentina clinched their places in the semifinals of the women's field hockey World Cup on Monday in Madrid, Spain. Defending champions Argentina beat South Korea 2-nil to move to the top of Pool B on ten points. Australia could only draw with Japan but that was enough to take them to joint top with the South Americans. (AP)
