The event was once again characterised by the World No 1 Tiger Woods' amazing finish that saw him nail six birdies on the back nine for a stupendous one-shot win. Woods, starting the day four behind the overnight leader Ernie Els, rocketed to the top on the back nine and claimed his second title in as many weeks.
Jeev finished tied 19th while Kapur, fifth overnight, dropped to 25th and Randhawa (70) also improved from overnight 56th to 33rd.
Woods matched his opening round score of 65 in the final round at Emirates Golf Club to win the tournament for a second time. Nine birdies in the round including six on the back nine were enough for a single stroke win over Martin Kaymer (66).
Overnight leader Ernie (71) found water on the 18th as he faced a birdie slip to tied third with Louis Oosthuizen (65).
Kapur, who was fifth overnight and tied with Tiger among others, had two birdies and two bogeys on front nine and then began the back nine with a birdie. But he collapsed in a three-hole stretch from 13th to 15th as he gave away four shots and dropped to tied 25th with a final round of 75.
Jeev started with birdies on first, third and sixth and then bogeyed seventh only to get back a birdie on eighth. A double bogey on ninth spoilt his card and on back nine, he had one each of birdie and bogey for a card of 71.
Randhawa had birdies on second and third and then three bogeys in a row from fourth to sixth. But he steadied himself after that and from ninth to 18th in 10 holes, he found three birdies and did not drop a bogey for a 70.
Woods had three birdies in first four holes, but bogeys on sixth and ninth raised doubts about his challenge. He started his comeback on the back nine and then slotted six birdies and swallowed all opposition on the way.
He seemed to have inspired Martin Kaymer, who was four under on last three holes to finish sole second.
Shiv Kapur wilted under the last day pressure with his worst card of the week with a three-over 75, while Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa played steady to finish at tied 19th and 33rd at the end of the Dubai Desert Classic in Dubai on Sunday. The event was once again characterised by the World No 1 Tiger Woods' amazing finish that saw him nail six birdies on the back nine for a stupendous one-shot win.
