Florida: South Koreans Kim In-kyung and Choi Hye-jung shared the top spot in the US LPGA Tour's final qualifying tournament Sunday, while 13 other players also earned full exemptions for next season. Choi closed with a 6-under 67 on Sunday on LPGA International's Legends Course to match Kim at 13-under 347. "I didn't sleep last night. I just wanted to keep practicing and keep going," the 21-year-old Choi said. The 18-year-old Kim, also the US women's Futures Tour's qualifying tournament winner last month, finished with a 73 after taking a six-stroke lead into the final round. She turned pro after the round. "I am happy now. I wasn't before. I played with everything today," said Kim, the 2005 US Girls' Junior champion. "I had good shots. I had a few mistakes, but otherwise, I played great." The top 15 players earned exempt status for 2007, while the next 41 received non-exempt status. Maru Martinez (68) finished third at 10 under. "I started really nervous and I think I had so much energy I couldn't control, but then I calmed down and everything felt fine," Martinez said. "I could definitely play my game today. I had great shots into the greens and I putted well. All the work I've done in the past two months really came together today." Kimberly Hall (69) was 7 under, Clarissa Childs (71) and 18-year-old Angela Park (73) followed at five under, and Carri Wood (74) and Katherine Hull (74) were four under. Oh Ji-young (71) was 3 under, followed by Sarah Lynn Johnston (70) and Irene Cho (73) at two under. Aram Cho (70), Erica Blasberg (73), Ashley Hoagland (74) and Paige Mackenzie (77) earned the final full exemptions at one under. (AP)
