Woburn:

Justin Rose shot his second successive 7-under-par 65 to complete a one-stroke victory over Ian Poulter in the British Masters at Woburn today. The 21-year-old Englishman compiled a 19-under-par total of 269 to take his second victory of the year. His first, which was also his first win as a pro, came in the Dunhill Championship in South Africa in January. Poulter closed with a 68 for a total of 270. He had an 8-foot putt at the last hole to force a playoff, but missed. Overnight leader Phillip Price of Wales finished with a disappointing level-par 72 for third place on 273. Colin Montgomerie was fourth after a 67 for 274 and moved to second on the European Order of Merit. (AP)
