New Delhi: Another new Golfer on the block but this one has his own tale to tell. Twenty three-year-old Zai Kipgen was lucky to escape with a broken hip and fractured right leg in an accident that almost took his life in March last year. But he says his life took a turn for the better. "It definitely gave me a wake up call. I've started working a little harder. Before golf was easy playing but after the accident all I wanted to do was to be healthy," said Zia. Till a couple of months ago he could rarely play a full eighteen holes with ease but his hard work finally bore fruit when he won the Hyundai ONGC Open in Chennai. Zai's next goal is to qualify for the Asian PGA Tour and if his current form is any indication that shouldn't take too long to happen.
