Bali:

Jyoti Randhawa cooked up a sizzling six-under 66 to leapfrog 37 places to be tied 9th after the penultimate round of the Enjoy Jakarta Indonesia Open Golf tournament here on Saturday.

Randhawa sank six birdies and an eagle against a couple of bogeys to aggregate six-under 210 at the New Kuta Golf Course here.

Among other Indians in fray, Digvijay Singh carded one-under 71 to total four-under 212 for tied 13th, two strokes ahead of senior pro Gaurav Ghei (74) and Indian-born Swede Daniel Chopra (70), who slumped to tied 28.

Gaganjeet Bhullar's second successive 71 had him tied 45 with a total of even-par 216, while SSP Chowrasia found the going tough and was tied 65 with a total of 220 after a horrendous five-over 77 today.

Randhawa was off the block with a birdie and picked up a couple of shots at the sixth and seventh before dropping a bogey on the eight, but the Delhi-golfer picked up another birdie at the last hole to take the turn at three-under.

His back nine was also magical and he hit a birdie brace at the 10th and 11th, with the 16th eagle being the jewel in the crown. He ended the day with a bogey on the 17th hole.

In contrast, Digvijay bogeyed the third and 11th hole while hitting a birdie brace at the fourth and fifth and another one on the 10th.

However, for Ghei, a lone birdie on the 13th was the only bright spot in his otherwise lacklustre card that had one bogey in his front nine and a couple on the back nine.

At the top, Thai Thongchai Jaidee blasted a five-under 67 to total nine-under 207 and grab a one stroke lead over Alexander Noren of Sweden, who carded a sparkling 66.
