India's Jyoti Randhawa has finished second at the Malaysian Open golf tournament.

Kuala Lumpur:

India's Jyoti Randhawa has finished second at the Malaysian Open golf tournament. The Delhi-based golfer finished with a four-day total of 18 under par with a final round of 5 under par. That, however, wasn't good enough to catch up with Thailand's Thong-jai Jaidee who won the tournament at 21 under par. Some of the top golfers from around the world were taking part in this co-sanctioned event with the European tour. Jyoti's performance is yet another highlight of the rapid strides being made by professional golfers in India. Jyoti had finished in Asia last season after winning the Volvo Masters in December, while Arjun Atwal, who is playing on a part exemption on the US PGA circuit, finished tied for 16th at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am last week.
