Jim Furyk held off a final-round charge by World number one Tiger Woods to win the Western Open in Lemont, Illinois on Sunday.

Jim Furyk held off a final-round charge by World number one Tiger Woods to win the Western Open in Lemont, Illinois on Sunday. He shot a 2-under 69, and finished the tournament at 14-under 270.It was the American's 10th PGA Tour victory, but the first since the 2003 Buick Open. He finished second three times this year, including a devastating loss last weekend at the Barclays Classic.
