Jeev rises in golf rankings

The top-10 finish at last week's USPGA Championships has propelled Jeev Milkha Singh to 59th in the latest World Golf Rankings.

The top-10 finish at last week's USPGA Championships has propelled Jeev Milkha Singh to 59th in the latest World Golf Rankings.

Jeev finished tied ninth at the Championship, becoming the first Indian to sign off among the top 10 at a Major resulting in a seven-place improvement in his rankings.

Jeev's previous best ranking was 37th which he had achieved as a result of four victories in 2006.

The 2006 Asian Tour Order of Merit winner is currently placed 14th (Euro 1,014,938) on the European Tour Order of Merit and second (USD 540,694) on the Asian Tour Order of Merit.

Jyoti Randhawa, who missed the cut at the same event, dropped from 88th to 92nd.

Jeev's next stop is the USPGA Tour's Wyndham Championship which will be held this week at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
