Danny Ellis finally finished the first round he started on Thursday and earned a one-shot lead after two rounds by the end of Saturday in the HP Classic.

New Orleans: Danny Ellis finally finished the first round he started on Thursday and earned a one-shot lead after two rounds by the end of Saturday in the HP Classic. Ellis played the last nine holes of the first round at 5 under for a 9-under 63, then shot a 66 for a two-day total of 129 in the 5.1 million US dollar tournament. Masters champion Phil Mickelson, in his first tournament since winning the green jacket at Augusta, was three shots back. (AP)
