Englishman David Howell leads after three rounds of the HSBC Champions tournament being played in Shanghai. World number one Tiger Woods, however, is just one stroke behind, tied for second place along with Australian Nick O'Hern. The American shot a 5-under par 67 to finish at 15 under par overall, and is undoubtedly the favourite for this title, which marks the official start to the 2006 European Tour. But the Indians slipped down the leader board at the event in Shanghai. Atwal hit a third round 73 to end the day tied for 21st place, while Jyoti Randhawa had five bogeys in his score of 75. He ended the day tied for 45th.
