Ibaraki: A second-round seven-over 77 saw Gaurav Ghei fail to make the halfway cut at the 1.25-million-dollar Japan Golf Tour Championship.

The 38-year-old Ghei, playing as a sponsors' invite, opened the tournament with a five-over 75 yesterday and needed at least a one-over 71 today to enter the money-making rounds.
