Ernie Els shot a bogey-free 64 on Saturday to take a two-shot lead after the third round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

Els had five of his eight birdies on the back nine at the 7,249-yard par-72 Leopard Creek Country Club to share the best round of the day with Joost Luiten.

Els is at 13-under 203 ahead of Sunday's final round, with Lee Slattery in second place on 205 after a 67 on Saturday.

"This is the round I've been looking for," said Els, who started with birdies on the first two holes. "I just had to play the way I wanted to and that start settled me down."

Luiten had a hole-in-one on the par-three 12th to go with six birdies. His 7-iron tee shot on the 192-yard hole won him a car valued at more than $80,000.

"Its my first hole-in-one in a tournament so I'm delighted," said Luiten, who played on the European Challenge Tour and qualified for next year's main European Tour.

Oliver Wilson also managed a hole-in-one on the par-three 16th, hitting a 5-iron 208 yards into the cup.

Halfway leader Omar Sandys of South Africa slipped to a 2-over 74 and is seven shots behind Els.
