Dublin:

Thomas Bjorn shot a 3-under 69 on Friday to be tied with Jamie Donaldson for the halfway lead in the European Open at The K Club's Palmer Course in Ireland. Bjorn and Donaldson are 5-under after 36 holes, one clear of Darren Clarke, Jonathan Lomas, Graeme Storm, Anders Hansen and Brett Rumford. A year ago, Bjorn dropped out of this event because he was playing so poorly. His second round 69, along with his opening round 70, places him at 5-under for the tournament. Donaldson's 2-under 70 was solid rather than spectacular, with 16 pars and two birdies. First-round leader Trevor Immelman, who shot 66 in the first round, was 10 strokes worse to drop to a share of 14th place. (AP)
