McKinney, Texas:

Arjun Atwal was left to rue a poor back-nine as he turned in a second successive even-par 71 to slip to the tied 41st spot after the halfway stage of the Nationwide Tour's season-ending Championship.

The Orlando-based golfer, who was tied 32nd overnight, has a two-day total of 142 in the USD one million event at the Craig Ranch.

Off to a steady start with four consecutive pars, Atwal played out a flawless front-nine which was studded with birdies on the fifth and eighth.

His back-nine started with a birdie on the 10th but the four dropped strokes between the 12th and 16th holes put him one-over. However, Atwal managed to avoid an over-par card by signing off with a birdie on the 18th.

At the top, American Darron Stiles (67) and Garrett Osborn (65) shared the lead with a total of 11-under 131. The duo's compatriot Colt Knost (66) was a stroke behind at the sole third spot.
