Overnight tied fifth, Atwal aggregated 13-under 203 with one more round to go and a decent finish here would help his cause to secure his PGA Tour card for the next season.

After three birdies and a couple of bogeys, Atwal approached the 13th hole at two-under to par the next four holes.

With two more holes to go, Atwal made the most of it and picked up two shots to round of his day with three shots separating him from leader Colt Knost.
