Bridgeport:

Arjun Atwal's form slump continued and he carded a four-over 76 in the penultimate round of Nationwide Tour Players Cup to slide to the tied 65th spot in the USD one million event here.

The Orlando-based golfer, who is trying to earn back his PGA Tour card, has a three-round total of three-over 219 at the Pete Dye Golf Club.

A 10th tee starter, Atwal was off the blocks with a birdie but a bogey on the 11th and a double bogey on the 13th pulled him back.

He recovered to fire back-to-back birdies on the 17th and 18th but it was undone by a front nine slump, during which he dropped a stroke on the fourth hole and added to his woes with a double bogey on the eighth hole.

At the top, Rick Price grabbed a one-stroke lead after firing a 66 that took his total to 15-under 201. Price was followed a stroke behind by Chris Anderson (66).

David Brandshaw took the third spot a shot behind Anderson after carding a seven-under 65.
