Imola:

Michael Schumacher clinched his fourth consecutive title this season at the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola today. It was a dominant victory for the German who cruised ahead of Jenson Button and Juan Pablo Montoya. Button posted the fastest lap seen at Imola to secure the first pole position of his Formula One career and the first for BAR-Honda for the race. Button led for nine laps, but eventually the Honda lost out to the Ferrari. Montoya came a distant third for BMW-Williams. David Coulthard came 13th after damaging his front wing at the first corner and team-mate Kimi Raikkonen came eighth.
