Vallelunga:

Katherine Legge's second day in a Formula One car went better than her first. The English woman, who crashed on Tuesday after two laps of testing, completed 27 laps on Wednesday driving a Minardi car on the Vallelunga circuit near Rome. The 25-year-old Legge clocked 1 minute, 21.176 seconds, for her fastest lap. She came close to the 1:21.010 time by Juan Caceres of Uruguay, who also tested a Minardi car on Wednesday. Legge has been racing in single-seater cars since 2000 and won three races in the US Toyota Atlantic series this year. The last woman to test drive in Formula One was Italy's Giovanna Amati in 1992.
