India's ace driver Narain Karthikeyan says he will "refine" his preparations for the Turkish Grand Prix in which all Formula One teams will be competing on equal terms for the first time this season on the newly laid Istanbul Park circuit here. The Formula One activities resume after a three-week break on the track, which is new for all teams and they can only anticipate its particularities. "For the first time this season, all drivers even Jordan Grand Prix drivers, will be racing on equal terms, as they will all have to learn the layout of the track in a short period," Karthikeyan said in an exclusive interview today. "I hope to be well prepared with Team Jordan and that the ambient temperatures will not be too high. We hope to have correctly anticipated the particularities of the Turkey track and will seek to refine preparations for the race during running in practice." The Jordan driver, who went into the break on an impressive note finishing 12th in tricky Hungary on July 31, described the circuit as interesting and believed that it had great facilities. "I am just back from my first four laps on this track. Two laps walking and two on the bike. From what I have seen, this circuit has great facilities". Racing in the 14th race of his debut season, the 28-year-old driver said it was difficult was to understand the grip level of the track but it was wide enough with room for overtaking. (PTI)
