Jarno Trulli claimed the first pole position of his career on Saturday, setting the fastest time in qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix.

Jarno Trulli claimed the first pole position of his career on Saturday, setting the fastest time in qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. Trulli will be joined on the front row of the grid by Jenson Button, while the Italian's Renault team mate Fernando Alonso claimed third place ahead of world champion Michael Schumacher. Ralf Schumacher set the second fastest time of the day, but was penalised 10 places as his engine had been replaced during Thursday's free practice sessions. (AP)
