Mugello:
The Ferrari team is still hard at work preparing for round 15 of the Formula One season. The team has already sewn up its sixth straight manufacturer's title and a fifth consecutive driver's world championship for number one driver Michael Schumacher. But this weekend, the Monza circuit stages the Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari's home event and their avid supporters will be out in force, demanding a thirteenth win of the season. Ferrari fortress Monza circuit has been something of a fortress for Ferrari since Schumacher won the race for 'The Prancing Horse' after an eight-year barren stretch in 1996. Since then, Schumacher has won three more times, including last year and is desperate to keep on winning. Barrichello has a good record at Monza as well, having won the race in 2002 and the Brazilian finished second a year earlier. But it's unlikely that Ferrari will have it all their own way on raceday. Testing has already taken place at the famous circuit, with the top ten cars all lapping faster than Schumacher's lap record of 1 minute 21.832 seconds, Fernando Alonso's Renault and the BAR of Jensen Button taking over a second off the German world champion's time. And Kimi Raikkonen will be keen to show that his win for McLaren at Spa to weeks ago was no fluke result. (AP)Topics mentioned in this article
