Chandok sets lap record in Formula Asia qualifying round

Karun Chandok sets lap record in the second round of qualifying in the Formula Asia championship.

Chennai:

Karun Chandok turned in a blistering performance to set a lap record of 1.05.844, in the second round of qualifying in the Formula Asia championship in Korea, after surviving a 140 kmph crash yesterday, which totally wrecked his car. Chandok had to be provided a spare car yesterday after the accident on a very wet and slippery track. He was able to post very quick timings; but still needed time to get used to the new car, according to a press release here today. (PTI)
