Putrajaya:

Guido Cappellini's reign as world F1 champion ended on Sunday when his powerboat collided with Bob Trask's boat at the Malaysian grand prix. His powerboat flipped twice in the air as he collided with Seaquest, driven by Bob Trask before crashing into the water at the Putrajaya Lake on Sunday. Sequest had an almost identical spin alongside him. At that stage the powerboats were travelling at almost 200 kilometres per hour. Cappellini needed to win on Sunday in order to remain in contention for the championship.
