Zico impressed with Bhutia

Kolkata:

Ace striker Baichung Bhutia today received a pat on the back from none other than soccer legend Zico, who said that he was impressed by the Indian player's performance in the first leg of the world Cup qualifier against Japan at Saitama. "I was impressed with the performance of some Indians and think that the 0-7 scoreline in the match did not reflect their effort. I would like to mention Bhutia. He was very quick," Zico told reporters here. "But I am told that he will not be able to play in the match tomorrow as he is injured," Zico, the head coach of the Japanese team which is in the city for the return leg match against India tomorrow, said. Bhutia, who suffered a cartilage damage in his left knee during the LG Cup in Vietnam, has been ruled out of the Japan tie. (PTI)
