World Cup tickets to go on sale soon

The 2006 football World Cup is still 18 months, away but the first batch of tickets will go on sale from February 1.

The 2006 football World Cup is still 18 months, away but the first batch of tickets will go on sale from February 1. The organizing committee for the event, lead by German legend Franz Beckenbauer, expects to sell about one third of the 2.93 million in the first phase which ends on March 31. The cheapest tickets are priced at nearly 35 euro, (Approximately Rs 2,000), while the most expensive will cost 600 euro (Rs 35,000).
