Uruguay, Brazil in Copa semis

Uruguay came from behind to beat Paraguay 3-1 in their Copa America quarterfinal on Sunday.

Uruguay came from behind to beat Paraguay 3-1 in their Copa America quarterfinal on Sunday. Paraguay went ahead with a header from Carlos Gamarra but Carlos Bueno levelled for Uruguay with a penalty six minutes before halftime. In the second half, striker Dario Silva put Uruguay 2-1 ahead two minutes after Gustavo Varela had become the third Uruguayan to be shown a red card in the tournament. Silva then made it 3-1 with one minute to play. Brazil thru to semis In the other match, Adriano scored twice and set up two more goals to lead Brazil into the semifinals of the Copa America with a 4-0 rout of Mexico on Sunday night. Brazil, which hadn't reached the final four of the South American tournament since winning in 1999, will play Uruguay in the semifinals. The winner will face Argentina or Colombia for the championship.
