Paris:Manchester United have never beaten a Spanish side in Spain. But they will be hoping, after a convincing 4-0 win by their second string team this weekend against Ipswich, they can change all that against Deportivo La Coruna. Team manager Sir Alex Fergusson will be making a number of changes to the team that won on Saturday. Manchester did not look like a winning side in their last match at Old Trafford against French side Lille, with the winner only coming in the dying minutes, through David Beckham. They will be hoping to improve on that against Deportivo. The Spanish club, on the other hand, have had a great start to the Spanish Primera Liga and are currently in second place. They just beat Alaves at home, and will hope they can continue the good form and upset Group G toppers United. Deportivo had only managed to pick up one point in their last game against Olympiakos, with a late equalizer. Barcelona, who had started their season with a win over newly promoted Sevilla, take their good form to Germany, where they take on Bayer Leverkusen in what should be an intriguing clash. Barcelona began their champions league campaign with a convincing 3-0 win over Turkish champions Fenerbatche last week. But the Spanish giants have a dismal record in Germany and will be hoping to change that. Barcelona, who lost last year in the first group stage, will be hoping they can improve on that, especially since they will be missing star mid-fielder Rivaldo, who is out because of an injury. Bayern Munich are training in Moscow ahead of their crucial match against Russian champions Spartak. Bayern, who were held to a 0-0 draw by Sparta Prague last week, will be hoping to perform better this week, and kick off the defence of their title in style. Bayern though will be without some of their top players including playmaker Stefan Effenberg. In other matches, Glasgow Celtic take on FC Porto at home in Group E, while Italian side Juventus travel to Norway to take on Rosenborg. In Group F, Fenerbache play host to French side Lyon, while fellow French side Lille take on Olympiakos in Group G. In Group H Spata Prague are at home to Dutch side Feyenoord.
