Turin:

A last minute equaliser from substitute Roberto Stellone saved a point for Torino at home against Parma in the Italian Serie A season on Sunday.Igor Budan had given Parma the lead and the match finished 1-1.Torino were strong favourites after spending heavily on new players in the close season. But it was Parma who had the first chance of the game, Andrea Gasbarroni's lob landing on the top of the Torino net after nine minutes.Quite halfStefano Fiore was making his return to Torino on loan, and he almost set up a goal midway through the first half, his shot was deflected onto the crossbar by teammate Alessandro Rosina.Rosina had been the best player in quiet first half, and the young midfielder, a former Parma player, showed great skill five minutes after the break, running into the box before shooting into the side netting. But Rosina showed his inexperience two minutes later, giving the ball away in midfield to Vincenzo Grella, the Australian world cup midfielder caught debut goalkeeper Christian Abbiati off his line from almost the halfway line, the crossbar denying what would have been a spectacular goal.Coming to lifeRosina didn't learn from his mistake as, two minutes later, he was caught in possession by Domenico Morfeo, who set up Igor Budan to score. The game had really come to life, and Elvis Abbruscato should have scored when Roberto Stellone's header found him unmarked in the penalty box, but keeper Alfonso De Lucia pulled off a great save.Substitute Vitali Kutuzov could have made the game safe for Parma five minutes from time, but he shot wide after a clever one-two with fellow substitute Zlatan Muslimovic. And Torino made them pay with a last minute equaliser scored and made by two more substitutes, Roberto Stellone heading in a cross from Nikola Lazetic. The final score was 1-1, the only draw of the first weekend of the Serie A season.
