A keen tussle is on the card when debutant Mumbai Football Club take on Sporting Clube de Goa in the ONGC I-League match on Friday at Nehru stadium, Margao.

Mumbai FC had a dream start beating Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and East Bengal in their own den and later humbling Mahindra United at home to remain unbeaten so far.

Sporting too had a good start winning against Vasco, Mohammedan Sporting, Mohun Bagan before going down to Churchill brothers in their last match.

Both the team have nine points each and also have same number of goal average (plus three). Sporting Clube de Goa who has played four matches, one more than Mumbai FC maintains the top spot on account of more number of goals scored.

Mumbai Football Club have an effective strikers in the form of Nigerian duo Abel Hammond and Felix Abogaye who have caused havoc in the rival defence with their speed. The former shuffles his place so quickly and so frequently that it's very difficult for the defenders to keep a vigil on him and it is to be seen how sporting defence tackle him in the absence of their dependable stopper back Luciano Sobrosa who will not play tomorrow due to double booking.

They will be backed by able midfield consisting of Riston Rodrigues, K Kulothangan, Noel Wilson, Jagdish Pappiah and Kuttamani. Their defence is sound in the hands of Anas Edathodika who plays as a central back and Syed Rahim Nabi.

On the other hands, sporting midfield failed to combine well along with their striker junior who was off colour in their last match against Churchill brothers will have to strike the right rhythm. The defence too crumbled up against Odofe Okolie, will have to tighten up if they have to come out victors.
