Kolkata:
Mohammedan Sporting today agreed to play Saturday's Tata Federation Cup final but demanded compensation for the families of the dead and injured in alleged police lathicharge at the Salt Lake stadium during the club's semi final outing against Mohun Bagan. "Our supporters were aggrieved, but still wanted us to play. So considering the status of the tournament and the sentiments of the city's soccer lovers we have decided to participate in the final," club general secretary Sultan Ahmed told reporters after an emergency executive committee meeting in Kolkata.
