South Korea trounced Malaysia 3-0 in a 2004 Asian Group A soccer qualifier on Wednesday.

South Korea trounced Malaysia 3-0 in a 2004 Asian Group A soccer qualifier on Wednesday and have almost clinched a place in the upcoming Olympics in Athens. A double strike by Kim Dong Hyun and another goal by Chun Jae Woon sealed victory for Korea, who will now have to wait for the result of the China-Iran match on Friday before confirming their fifth successive participation in the Olympic Games. With two more matches to be played, South Korea lead Group A with China in second place. Iran lie third while Malaysia occupy bottom spot. (AP)
