London: Manchester United travelled to Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday after two successive defeats - one to Liverpool and one to Middlesborough in the FA Cup. And they also had to make up for the fact that they had lost to Bolton at Old Trafford.Bolton Wanderers' last win at home at the Reebok stadium was way back in August last year and they were hoping to pull off a double against United after having beaten them 2-1 at Old Trafford.And Bolton had the first chance as early as the fourth minute but Fredi Bobic shot wide after being set up by Michael Rickets. The Red Devils then took the lead in the 15th minute. Welshman Ryan Giggs found Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who rolled the ball into the net.United strengthened their lead in the 39th minute, this time Solskjaer heading the ball in from a corner kick from David Beckham. The television replay would later show just how acute the angle was.Bolton got a great chance to pull a goal back but United goalkeeper Fabien Barthez was quick to save Michael Rickett's volley.Twelve seconds into the second half, United almost added another goal but Ryan Giggs' shot found the post.The home side continued to push forward in search of a goal but Rickett's header was well saved by Barthez who looked to be in fine form.United came back again in the 64th minute, Solskjaer completing his hat trick off a Beckham free-kick.The finishing touch was added by Ruud Van Nistelrooy in the 84th minute. The Dutchman has now scored 16 goals in the English Premier League. United won the match 4-0 and they have now won nine of their last ten league games. Their next game is against Sunderland on Saturday.
