Wayne Rooney has received the all-clear to rejoin England's World Cup squad.England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson on Thursday said Wayne Rooney is injury free. Eriksson confirmed that the inspirational striker has recovered from a broken foot bone in time for the World Cup.This comes after an eventful day trip to Manchester for a scan on his injured foot.FIFA's web site has reported that Rooney was fit to play at his first World Cup. Rooney also gave a good indication he would be playing. Rooney practiced with England on Thursday, hours after returning to Germany on a late-night flight. Joins team Rooney casually kicked a ball with David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville before taking part in light running, stretching and ball drills. Shortly before the session closed to the media after 15 minutes, Rooney joined a drill where players stood in a circle, trying to avoid passing the ball to a player in the middle. England has until Friday to determine if Rooney should stay in the squad or be replaced by standby striker Jermain Defoe. England is hoping that even if Rooney misses the Group B games against Paraguay (on Saturday), Trinidad and Tobago (June 15) and Sweden (June 20), he'll be available for future rounds - if the country advances.Rooney broke his foot in Manchester United's game against Chelsea on April 29.
